Hello I am Melissa J. I’m creating this space for people like me! Im 37 and Im an adult orphan who has had her fair share of mental health struggles. I lost both of my parents within a ten year span and I am no stranger to grief. Im not saying this in a toxic positivity way, but you can learn to live with grief and also thrive while grieving. I once heard someone say “Your brain doesn’t know the difference between a bad addiction or a good addiction, so become addicted to the good. To cope with grief I have developed some bad habits and addictions. I am learning to let down the weights of these addictions such as gambling, food, alcohol and negative thinking. I am currently on a journey to replace the negative with the positive and focus on the good in my life. I am a mother of two with two bonus children (stepsons). I am a wife & writer and stay at home mom and I enjoy; reading, creating books and journals, and drinking coffee. I hope you find this blog helpful and resourceful in your journey to wellness.
